Who doesn’t want bigger lips naturally?
Luscious lips actually make you look younger? Thin lips, unfortunately, make a woman look older, and the older a woman gets the thinner her lips.
So, what do you do to plump your lips, even if you have never had them, to begin with?
There are products for increasing the size of your lips. I have never used any, you can check out totalbeauty.com for a list of the worst and the best ones to use.
My daughter and I were discussing her lips. She was complaining, that her top lip is thinner than the bottom and why didn’t she get lips like me.
It got me thinking about how to have bigger lips naturally. As I am aging my lips are not as thick as they once were.
I realized this is one part of the body I usually forget about. They are not as thick or luscious, but I don’t want them to make me look older by getting too thin.
Bigger Lips Naturally
I guess it comes as no surprise to you that as you age this part of your body ages as well. No part of the body escapes aging.
A very important protein in the body called collagen is what keeps your body looking smooth, wrinkle free and skin smooth.
As you age the body does not produce as much collagen as it did when you are a young child. Hence, the fuller lips and beautiful smooth skin of a child.
Less collagen in the body also means less collagen in your lips.
This also causes little lines above the mouth to form, and you will have a lot more of these little lines if you are a smoker.
In fact, this is one of the first body parts to start aging and will begin around the age of 16.
Protect Your Lips From The Sun
Too much sun plays its part and will break down collagen and cause thin lips.
Your lips are not able to protect themselves from the sun’s rays and not only can they sunburn easily. Lips can develop sun spots and cancer if you are not careful.
I was reading something on lip glosses, this isn’t a beauty product I have ever really taken too.
However, if you are in the habit of putting one on, choose wisely. If it does not contain an SPF it is causing harm to your lips.
To have bigger lips naturally you need to look after them.
Your lips will absorb the moisture and this, in turn, helps to keep them plump. They don’t have any sebaceous glands, like your skin, they are not naturally moisturized.
Because there are no sebaceous glands in this part of the body, it is easy for lips to become dry and chapped.
Sebaceous glands produce sebum which is an oil, for this reason, your skin remains moist. By keeping my lips hydrated, I have noticed a huge improvement in thickness.
How To Get Bigger Lips Without Surgery
I read an article not so long ago on how to plump your lips and it suggested kissing passionately for 5 to 10 minutes a day.
Honestly, who did they think they were writing this article for?
Certainly, mature aged women, who perhaps have lived with their husband/partner for over 20 years, wouldn’t bother with that suggestion. I know I certainly couldn’t be bothered kissing my partner every day for that amount of time.
If you are really keen on having bigger lips naturally, then go right ahead and kiss passionately every day for maybe the rest of your natural life.
As for me, I think I will stick to keeping my lips moisturized with a natural oil, it’s certainly easier!
Vitamin B2 may help give you fuller lips, a lack of this important vitamin can cause them to thin.
To make bigger lips naturally, apply sunblock, cover with concealer, invest in a good lip liner and carefully outline the outside of your lips and fill with a light shade of lipstick.
Avoid dark lipstick colors they will make them seem thinner.
If you have never been blessed with plump lips, then so what! Make the best of what you do have, smooth lips are healthy lips.
For lips that are not smooth, drink more water, keep them moisturized and you will notice a difference.
Love Your Lips
If you are still having trouble keeping your lips smooth, check out the toothpaste you are using, some brands can cause problems.
I like to brush my teeth with a tooth soap, you may want to consider doing this.
Avoid licking your lips and try lip exercises to plump your lips. Although there is no scientific evidence to suggest this works, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.
Yes, it would be nice to have bigger lips naturally and even better just love yourself the way you are.
