I like to make an effort to include foods and drinks into my diet for my liver’s function.
This is a very important organ it takes care of everything you eat and drink. Therefore, all the good stuff you put into your body is used and all the bad stuff eliminated.
It acts as a filtering system for the body, by maintaining hormone levels. In addition, you will be burning fat, strengthening the immune system and removing bacteria.
Cleansing the liver for improved function all year round is very easy.
Just avoid overeating, only eat when hungry. Eat healthy food, eat your food slowly and drink plenty of water.
However, there are some foods and drinks best avoided altogether.
I drink a liver flush drink a couple of times a week. It makes a great breakfast drink and fills me up for most of the morning.
The drink I make includes citrus fruits. These fruits are great for cleansing the liver, they are high in a natural antioxidant, vitamin C.

Oranges and Mandarines
Provide potassium, choline, calcium, fiber, folate, copper, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamins C, A, B1, B2.
Oranges, when eaten every day or juiced, will help fight illness and disease.
Particularly, liver cancer, fight viral infections, protect skin health, lower cholesterol levels. Improve heart health, improve digestion, vision and aid weight loss.
Apples Are Good For The Liver
They contain Vitamins, C, A, E, B, K, fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, sodium, copper, phosphorus, and pectin.
Pectin in apples is great for ridding the body of heavy metals. It helps make the liver’s job easier for detoxification.
Apples also contain many important phytochemicals needed for detoxing the body.
The humble apple is one of the top foods for cleansing the liver.
For this liver flush drink, I only use organic apples. This way I can avoid the high amount of pesticide residue in conventional apples.
Strawberries Give The Liver A Detox
Loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
This delightful little fruit is one of the top suppliers of the antioxidant phenolic.
Phenolic offers protection against illness and disease.
Strawberries contain vitamins C, E, A, K, B1, B2, B6, folic acid, potassium, folate, niacin, and fiber.
They are great for helping remove toxins from the liver and improving liver function.
Pineapple Helps Digest Proteins
When I cut up the pineapple for my cleansing the liver drink, I also use the stem of the fruit.
The wonderful pineapple is glorious when sweet.
It has vitamins C, A, iron, calcium, and comprises of a very important enzyme called bromelain.
Bromelain found mainly in the stem, is a digestive enzyme capable of breaking down fats and digesting protein. And has anti-inflammatory properties, that can thin the blood, and help improve many skin conditions.
Linseeds Sesame Seeds And Almonds (LSA)
Together this combination is a very powerful antioxidant mixture.
I love this stuff and make an effort to include it every day either in my liver flush drink, or added to my breakfast in the morning. I am also fond of adding it to yoghurt or smoothies.
LSA is perfect for providing the liver with digestible nutrients. It is full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
LSA has vitamins A, D, E, B1, B2, B5, calcium, phosphorus, selenium, copper, zinc, and protein.
You also get essential fatty acids 3, 6 and 9. Linseeds, sesame seeds, and almonds is a well-known mixture for detoxifying and cleansing the liver.
Spirulina Will Remove Toxins From The Body
Is a powerful antioxidant, packed full of vitamins and minerals and particularly good for a liver cleanse.

Liver Flush Drink
Let’s put it all together!
- 1 chopped orange or 2 mandarins
- 1 chopped apple
- 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
- 1/2 cup chopped pineapple
- 2 tablespoons LSA
- 1 teaspoon Spirulina
- 1 teaspoon organic coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon organic raw honey
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 or 2 cups of water
Blend, drink up and enjoy, this is a yummy, nutritious drink for cleansing the liver.
Sometimes I will add a banana and a teaspoon of colloidal silver with added calcium.
You will definitely notice a difference in your complexion, hair, nails and energy levels.
It is important to give a thought to your liver. Always, look for ways to help improve its function. Keep your liver healthy as a healthy liver will keep your body healthy.
As a result, you will be looking younger.
You may not want to eat any other fruit once you have had this liver flush drink. If you are watching your weight, this is enough natural sugar in your body.
