Here are some tips for beautiful skin. After years of doing pretty much everything wrong, when it comes to my skin. I am finally in a good place.
It is a lovely feeling when you can just fall out of bed and not have to worry about blemishes, lines, dull, dry, oily, and flaky skin.
You can walk out the door and feel just as beautiful as if you had spent an hour on your moisturising and makeup, and in fact, spent no time at all.
Beautiful skin is easy to have if you know what you are doing and don’t overdo the scrubbing and cleansing.
Tips For Beautiful Skin
In the evenings I cleanse my skin, but in the mornings I just freshen up with lukewarm water and that’s all. I don’t cleanse my face again until that evening.
I know we have all had it drilled into us the ‘Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturise’ daily.
This was something I did twice a day when I was younger. No wonder I never felt like I had a beautiful skin.
Why? Because you are stripping your skin of all its wonderful natural oils, that keep your skin hydrated, smooth and youthful looking.
Constant washing can cause dry skin and blemishes.
Your skin will also produce more oil to make up for the oils you are continually washing away. It then becomes a never-ending battle.
Therefore, if you have dry skin, see how you go with cleansing your skin once a day, preferably in the evening.
And only give your face a splash of warm water in the morning, dry and apply your moisturiser and sunscreen as normal.
This is one of the best tips for beautiful skin not only will it save you time in the mornings.
You don’t need to cleanse your face again if you did it in the evening before going to sleep.
You haven’t been out and about, your skin has not attracted all the grime and dust it collects during the day.
Cleansers Are Not A Makeup Remover
Take off any makeup, sunscreen you have on your face before you use a cleanser. These are not designed to remove stubborn makeup like mascara and eyeliner.
A natural cleansing oil is great for the skin, I use one all the time.
I have a lovely one I am using at the moment, it is a Moringa cleansing oil.
The beautiful thing about using an oil, you are protecting and nourishing the skin.
If using an oil, make sure to gently wipe your face and neck with a warm face cloth, and very important, the face cloth is clean and you do wipe gently.
All skin types only need to be cleansed once a day, unfortunately, if you have oily skin you do need to cleanse again in the morning.
Now for the best tips for beautiful skin, don’t clean your skin with soap it is too drying, and don’t use products containing fragrance.
Many people will avoid products containing parabens as there is speculation they can cause breast cancer.
Although parabens have gotten a bad rap over the years, they are actually used as preservatives.
It is a personal choice what you want to cleanse and moisturise your face and neck with.
However, if you stick to the one golden rule of once a day only, you will have the beautiful skin you long for.
Clearing Acne For Beautiful Skin
Not only will cleaning your skin too often dry it out, you can cause pimples.
And if you already have an acne problem, you can make it worse constantly cleaning your skin.
I know, because when I was in my 20’s I had adult acne and now when I look back, I can see what I did wrong.
It was cleansing, scrubbing, toning and moisturising my face twice a day every day.
There was a belief I needed to keep my skin clean to help it clear up.
Plus I did not have the wisdom I have now as I was using every commercial, chemical-laden product I could get my hands on.
In the end, one of the best tips for beautiful skin and helping clear up my acne problem was eating better.
To this day, I still take evening primrose oil supplements and vitamin E.
Both of these supplements are well-known for helping regulate and balance hormones and clear up acne.
Oily or combination acne prone skin, you are best to cleanse with products that are non-comedogenic, this is a product that will not clog pores. Oil free is often recommended as well.
Beautiful Skin Is Toning After Cleansing
This is one of the best tips for beautiful skin, toning, it is an important part of the process.
Toning the skin after cleansing will help remove any makeup, sunscreen or residue left over from the first process, and it will help restore and balance the skin’s natural ph level.
For toning, I use apple cider vinegar. First of all, it’s cheap, and I don’t worry about what product am I going to use, or which one is best. Because for me, this one is the best.
Using apple cider vinegar you don’t have to be concerned about any questionable ingredients.
All you have to do is mix one part organic apple cider vinegar and two parts filtered or distilled water. That’s it, nice and easy and it is perfect for all skin types.
For the past few years, I have toned my skin with ACV and I feel it has made a huge difference to my skin tone.
Alcohol is a common ingredient in many toners. I feel it is best avoided as the alcohol can dry out your skin. Once again, though, it is a personal choice.
As for finishing off with a moisturizer, I only like to use natural on my skin, it is a personal choice what you prefer to use.
There are so many products out there it can get confusing.
When I was younger, I spent a fortune on the latest skin care products and looking back, they did not make much of a difference to my skin.
The rule I live by now is, natural, avoid as many chemicals as I can in skin care products, a healthy diet and my long loved vitamin supplements.
Having said that, I really feel of all the tips for beautiful skin the less you cleanse the better.
